Alright!! It's exam week, again....for me that is...for those in high school, good luck in ur exams as well. In addition to that, Chinese new year juz ended, well, with more bangs in the sky...i'm talking about fireworks. With Taiwan putting out 30 minutes plus of fireworks, the end of CNY is really a BANG, imagine if we were in Iraq..we would be running into our houses looking for cover when the sound of "fireworks" comes along...enough of that, and i would say something abt a CNY buffet dinner that happened on Sunday (yesterday). Alright, we know that when we have Mega Sales going on, and people would rush to the nearest shopping mall to get a good price on whatever they can grab..and with the discount signs all over, that is the season when everyone is rushing to get something. Now, put your mindset on the same havoc in the shopping mall, to the dining table of a buffet dinner, you'll be "amazed" with how people behave.
The menu for the night would include, Fried Chicken wings, some noodles, fried rice, curry chicken, roasted duck, some thai flavoured fish, and some deep fried pork. All was served on a table and around the tables there were signs telling us to queue up. When the MC announce that the food is ready to be served, i saw a horde of people rushing to the table to get food. ( It's free anyway, so people went there. I was there because my father was the donor to the temple over there) . This is when the dark side of the human behavior is shown, people grabbing food as if they hadn't ate anything for 5 days, plates that are being used to serve the people are being taken around the table as if it is remote controlled and food is constantly taken without any consideration, not only that, some people are gobbling the food on their plate, and taking food at the same time...i mean come on, there are still refills on the food, why the hurry? Are you afraid that you can't get ur fair share of food?..people also tend to take extra food on another plate, and when they can't finish it..they tend to take it back home. True that i agree with not wasting your food, but on the other hand, why take more than what you can finish? The only thing that i find that no one is rushing to get would be the Beer, and the Soya milk...maybe ppl brought their own drinks or something? But as said, with people's behavior like that, how is it possible for us to actually learn how to give way on the road and all?...it all reflects us in our daily life...P.S : the people i mentioned above are all chinese, sad to say, though i'm pretty sure everyone in the world do that as well...
Enough said abt that, the more i mention about it, the more ashamed i feel about how we act...and coming on would be my finals for my first sem for this year...damn, with CNY juz gone, here comes the "ang pow" from the exam department, 2 exams coming up, and 1 tomorrow at 9.30 A.M, bah...i guess i'mma stop here and sleep, coz it's juz english paper tomorrow and i'm sure it would turn out fine, unless the lecturer gave a hard topic, then i'm basicly screwed...and lastly, thanks to anyone who reads this..cheers!!
